In many communities, Special Olympic athletes stop competing after leaving their school district simply because there is no 18+ program — a gap that exists due to lack of funding. Here in the Brazos Valley, our athletes are able to continue their Special Olympics journey through the Aggie Bombers, our local 18+ Special Olympic delegation.
The funding required to sustain a program of this scope can be daunting, but the generous contributions of Coach Blair Charities have made it possible for the Bombers to compete in 12 sports at the local, regional, state, national, and global levels. Today, we are proud to have 134 athletes ranging in age from 18 to 80 years old — and none of it would be possible without your generous support.
Our athletes are always asking me to pass along a message when I see Coach Blair — so on behalf of every single one of them: "Thank you" from all of the Aggie Bombers."
